Read Powerful Advice For Reaching Your Goals And Attaining The Life You Dream Of

I have always been a huge fan of inspirational quotes, especially since I have been pursuing my own desires and therefore need a constant flow of ambition and inspiration.

There’s one famous inspiration quote in particular that I want to share with you, as well as tell you how it has impacted my life experience. The thoughts come from a great mind, one of the greatest inspirational success mentors in the past century, Brian Tracy.

And here’s what he stated:

You are always free to choose what you do with your life. To make changes in your future, make the choices today. This quote stuck with me because for the first time I realized that I really could strive after my highest aspirations.

We all desire different things in life experience, but many of us do not attempt to achieve them because we do not feel capable or worthy. We feel limited by many things like are family history, our experience or age, our level of education, our lack of capital, or many other things.

What I realized is that these are all excuses for not pursuing what we truly want to achieve, and nothing more. And I realized that I was where I was because of the choices that I had made in the past.

Many Folks do not take responsibility for their current situation, especially if it is not the ideal one. But, not being able to take responsibility for your situation means that you are not willing to accept the present reality.

If you cannot accept that you have gotten yourself where you are, how can you expect to be ambitious enough to get where you want to go? I’ve realized that I was where I was because of the choices I had been making, and I also realized that I could change my experience if I change the choices that I made.

If you decide what you desire to do, and keep it in mind at all times, your choices will stop coming from your habitual thinking and will start coming from your new perspective. Many choices that we all make are habitual, and we react out of habit rather than conscious choice.

But something that I have realized is that when you know where you desire to go, and you commit yourself to getting there, you’ll begin to assume of the choices that you make in each moment and make sure they are aligned with your greater reason. It is been stated that our greatest strength is the power to choose. I agree with this because when you choose to change your life experience, you take control over it.

What Exactly Is Aspergers Syndrome? How Do I Find Out If My Kid Has It?

Lately a lot of people have began to relate aspergers syndrome to autism. Note; its not particularly Autism; but, the two are linked because they do have so many similar symptoms. One reason lots of parents actually catch this is due to the familiarity of Autism. Lately you may have seen a story on Oprah about Jenny McCarthy and her son and their realization that he had Autism. This made lots of parents more aware about what this diagnosis is, how it could alter your child and if your child may or might not have it.

I think lots of parents saw that episode on Oprah and kind of looked at their kid thinking, “wow, that is what has been wrong!” or “wow, those symptoms sound just like my son’s”. It was that people didn’t actually talk about this. If your child had it, it could be years or possibly their entire lives before you knew they had it. Nowadays though, individuals are much more open about it. In fact , people like Jenny McCarthy even went on national TV for a purpose – to share her story and her sons story with everybody. So that if your kid does have symptoms of Asperger, that you ought to get things checked out.

Don’t disregard it, catch it fast enough and this would help . Few of the most common issues that parents see in a child that has Aspergers syndrome are; aggressiveness, self-injury , and social inappropriateness. For instance lets say you have a relative right now that has very significant symptoms of this condition. He is near to eight years old, struggles socially, he cannot speak properly, and he is normally more inappropriate than one would like him to be. Many docs concerned with Aspergers have said that there is a variation in the structure of the brain of a child without this syndrome versus with.

Besides fierceness, self injury, and social inappropriateness, other chief issues of this condition are; difficulty understanding and translating facial expressions and mannerisms of others , language inflexibility, lack of eye contact, irregular nonverbal body postures, social and nonverbal problems, plus very quick speech and a lack of coordination. Few individuals say that once your child definitely has Aspergers that they are changed eternally that there is no going back. Personally, I’m a big believer in life-style changes that could help with Aspergers. There are things you could do to help you and your child.

I think that if you do change how you speak to and around your kid, if you change their diet , if you’re patient with them that over time the symptoms can lessen . It does take time, and it can be painful. But, this can be helped if you help them work on it. Don’t give up on your kid just because they have Aspergers or autism aspergers or any other issues. You’re their parent, that is what you are there for, to love them unconditionally!

Practical Self Help Tips: Take A Breather

Once our day gets going it’s oh so easy to be overwhelmed by the routine, the urgent (not necessarily the important), the latest minor crisis or, most common of all, self-defeating thought. Even if you have started your day properly, it is all too easy to become submerged and go back to our default state of unfocused mindlessness.

So, for a start, what does starting your day properly mean? Well, we make certain that we don’t leave home physically unprepared for the day ahead. We shower and dress ourselves – shaving or applying the odd dab of make-up as required! On the other hand, most of us automatically leave the house in the morning mentally unprepared for what is lying in waiting. Starting the day properly means ensuring that, first thing in the morning, you have taken the appropriate action to clear your mind and focus your energy. I suggest approximately ten minutes mental preparation for the day ahead. Find somewhere where you won’t be disturbed, sit and focus on what your senses are telling you – one sense at a time. This ensures that you’re focused on what is really going on rather than on the subconscious programs that otherwise run your life – the latter being your default state of mind.

OK, let’s say that you’ve got your day off to the perfect start, you’re switched on, fully focused, alert and ready for action. Small things like a delayed train, like heavy traffic, like somebody asking you to do something unexpectedly – so many little things can upset us. To say nothing of the big things! It is so easy to wander automatically into mental oblivion as the day unfolds. What we’ve got to do is make sure that, during the day, we pause to catch our breath – literally.

Age-old wisdom emhpasizes the opportunity that our breathing offers us to clear the mind of useless noise and distraction and, as a result, focus our energy. So, here’s an easy, quick and entirely useful tip – because, after all, you’ve got to breathe anyway! Take a couple of moments – moments is all that’s required – throughout the day to turn your attention to the reality of your existence as you breathe in and out. Pay attention to what it feels like to breathe, how your body reacts with each breath in and out, how the air passes through the left, right or both nostrils. Give thanks for the reality that you are alive and breathing. Pay attention to nothing else for these few moments. If the hassles or useless thoughts of the moment start invading your mind, take three deeper breaths to refocus your attention. As you breathe, understand that whatever might be driving you crazy right now will be completely forgotten in months, weeks, days or even hours. Understand that, with an alert, focused and ready mind, anything is possible.

Turning Yourself On On Those Days When You Simply Feel Flat

There are days when we simply feel energy-less – perhaps not dejected, disillusioned or depressed, just plain flat, energy-less and disinterested. And even though I’ve been teaching my many personal development clients how to start their day by focusing their minds – and I do it myself – sometimes, within no time at all, one ends up feeling, well, ‘I wish I was somewhere else!’ or ‘I just don’t feel like doing this!’ I’m not talking about things that go wrong during the day, I’m simply referring to what one client described like this: ‘I get into my office, full of energy, I sit down at my desk, open up my PC and, suddenly, it’s like I’m in a kind of daze.’

What takes the wind out of our sails so easily? How come we can be so fired up one minute and then suddenly so flat? Well, the answer is all too simple – flat is your default state of mind. Yeah, believe it or not, research proves that only the very rare person is tuned in enough to actually be adequately attentive and focused to get all that can be gotten out of the normal day. As if that wasn’t enough, research also asserts that, left to its own devices, our minds slip towards negativity. It’s the way we’re wired – and all the personal development or self improvement in the world won’t personal development or self improvement isn’t going to change the hardware.

But what personal development will change is the programs that we run. Again, if we do nothing, our subconscious mind is content to watch reruns – to keep running the same old broken programs that make our daily lives uninteresting, mundane, repetitive and boring. You need to grab a hold of that channel changer! Personal development will teach you how to switch channels and enable you stop watching the old programs. It will enable you tune in to reality TV – the real reality of the here and now.

Sadly, the feeling of mindless-couldn’t-care-less simply invades our minds by default. And that will forever, for the rest of our days, be our default way of thinking unless you develop a mindful, focused, tuned in state of mind – and not only have you got to do it each and every day, you’ve got to find a mechanism to make sure that you can call on that state of mindfulness when you find that you’re slithering down the inevitable slippery slope towards mindlessness – because, as sure as night follows day, you’ll start slipping the moment you take your eye of the ball.

OK, I’m mixing my metaphors, between computers, TV and slippery slopes – but you get the picture? Our mind is always waiting to mug us – we’ve got to be alert as much as is humanly possible.

Depression – How To Beat It

Although the effects of depression can be all too tangible in your life, depression isn’t real. If you think that you’re suffering from depression, it’s just your imagination because depression is directly linked to your subconscious mind’s obsession with useless thoughts that were impressed upon it during your formative years. It is normal for your subconscious mind to focus on the past – everyone’s does – it’s simply that the garbage that yours is focused on is evidently a little (or a lot) off the beaten track. This is not your fault – your subconscious mind was impressed with these thoughts by others, people and events that made you feel bad, guilty, dejected during your childhood years.

Even though it’s normal for your subconscious to focus on past deeply-rooted memories, this obsession doing you damage – you can see it and feel it in your daily life. Again, there’s no need to feel bad about this – everyone’s subconscious mind is doing the same damage – at least you have the advantage over other normal people in realizing that you’ve got a problem.

However, the problem is solely down to what your subconscious mind is focused on. You must tear your mind away from those self-destructive thoughts and redirect your attention to the one time and place that is actually real, the only time and place that you can actually live – the present moment. If you manage to turn your attention to the here and now you’ll experience something that you probably have never experienced before – there’s no such thing as depression, there’s no such thing as anxiety or fear, there’s just a wonderful world full of possibilities and potential – and quantum physics confirms that that wonderful world is simply waiting to respond to your hopes and dreams.

Pills or medication won’t enable you experience the difference between reality and the fiction of stress – they might make the pain subside for a while but your subconscious mind will always slink back to the old, out-dated thoughts that aren’t real but just an imprint of a past long gone. The one way in which you will experience reality – one cleansed of depression – is to learn how to clear your mind. This is no big deal because, as a youngster, you had a completely clear mind – that’s how those bad feelings were impressed upon you way back then. All you have to do now is re-train yourself to pay attention to what your five senses are telling you, right here, right now – without putting your subconscious mind’s warped interpretation onto the facts.

I know that the best way to relearn how to focus your mind on to the reality of the present moment is meditation – preferably, for starters, guided meditation. It may take you a while to get into it, you may find it difficult, but a little commitment will produce the wonderful benefit of your being able to live your life to the full.

Personal Development And Wasting Your Time And Energy

Right now, you’re living brand new day – one that’s never happened before, a day never to be repeated. And now is a new moment. And, in this new moment, you have a choice. And on this choice depends your personal development. You choose the thoughts that you are paying attention to just at this moment in time. Are they random thoughts? Perhaps they’re negative thoughts? Are they related to what you should be doing at the moment? Perhaps they’re positive thoughts (better than negative thoughts but they’re still just thoughts). The thoughts you’re entertaining are stopping you doing. Stop wasting your energy, forget your thoughts, leaving space for the flights of fancy to rise to the top – for they’re not thoughts, but inspiration and inspiration only comes to the clear minded.

In this new moment, you choose your behaviour and actions (more often reactions) as well. And, depending on the choice that you make, you can quite literally change your life. How much time have you simply binned already today? How much time have you frittered away sitting in front of your laptop, staring blankly? How much of your precious energy have you wasted gossiping about and delighting in the misfortune or misdeeds of others? Bet you that you’ve misspent some precious time shuffling you’re “To Do” list until there’s no time left to do! Or how much of your energy have you mis-invested in doing things you just shouldn’t be doing – like browsing the internet for things that have nothing to do with anything important, reading emails that were copied to you so someone else’s ass would be covered, reading the sordid details of domestic violence that fill each day’s newspapers? Every moment you waste is a moment that you will never live again. And what we achieve in our lives is the sum total of how we spend each precious moment.

At least, in considering some of these questions you might begin to realize just how much of your energy is spent on things that will get you nowhere on your life’s journey. But these are energy-wasters that you’re aware off – here’s the big question. How much energy are you wasting that you’re not aware of? Because, unless your subconscious mind is immersed in meaningful activity in the present moment, it is still happily wandering arount your childhood years, thinking that your childhood experiences are actually happening now – and you’ve no idea whatsoever that this is even happening. And this is the waste of energy that divorces us all from the possibilities of the now, from the reality of the now, from the abundance of the now.

So, here’s the sixty four thousand dollar question. Would you like to live a better life? Then ask yourself if what you are doing now, in the context of what you truly want out of life, is the very best investment of your energy. If it’s not, stop doing it.

Self Hypnosis For Losing Weight – 3 Behaviors You Should Never Ignore

Self hypnosis for weight loss is a powerful way to stay on track with your long term goals for changing your habits. This is the way to use hypnosis for weight loss on yourself. And there are certain behaviors that you need to target to make sure you can stay on track. As you read through every word of this article you’ll know exactly how to use self hypnosis for weight loss.

To get results using self hypnosis it’s important to become familiar with going into hypnotic trance. You can do this simply by finding a place to sit down where you will not be disturbed. Shut off the phone and remove any and all distractions. Make sure that you are not responsible for anything during this special time. It’s all about you and you only.

Close your eyes and simply focus on your breathing. With every breath, imagine yourself becoming more and more relaxed. As if you are walking down a flight of stairs slowly guiding you deeper and deeper into relaxation. In your mind walk slowly down 3 flights of stairs. With each flight pause for a moment and enjoy the safety and relaxation you are experiencing before continuing to a deeper level of enjoyment.

When you are at the third landing of deep relaxation you are ready to focus on the 3 behaviors that you want to make sure that you never ignore.

1. Eating healthy foods. Make the connection between healthy foods and feelings of pleasure. Whatever is a pleasurable feeling for you. You can take this pleasurable feeling from anywhere that you have already experienced it. It doesn’t have to be isolated to a food related moment. So if going to the ball game is a fun, enjoyable experience, use that feeling from those moments to create the association between healthy food and the enjoyable experiences you have had at ball games.
2. Eating where it’s appropriate. Create the association between feeling comfortable and good when you eat in specific locations. Like feeling comfortable eating at the dining room table or the kitchen table. Connecting eating in specific places will prevent you from unhealthy eating habits like eating standing up, or on the run, or while you’re walking around outside. This prevents you from eating between meals, and also allows you to digest your meals in a healthy way.
3. Eating slowly and chewing your food well. Taking the time to eat your food slowly will allow you to naturally let your mind and body catch up with each other. It sometimes takes a bit of time for your body to send the signal to your mind that you’ve had enough to eat. And with all your taste buds in your mouth, eating slowly allows you to really get all the taste from the foods you do eat. And you will feel more satisfied with your meals.

Combine these images and connections while using self hypnosis and you have a powerful combination to help keep you on the road to a healthy and fit future. Now you know how to use hypnosis and weight loss to help you achieve your weight loss goals.

Are You Operating In Fear Or Faith

The greatest tool the enemy uses against us in life is fear, because fear keeps us from doing many of those things we would like to do in order to make our lives, and the lives of others, more complete and prosperous.

Since we are born with only a few fears like the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises, all other fears are learned. The fear of failure, the fear of rejection, and even a fear of success are all learned fears and are really just lies from the devil.

Naturally, God wants us to live abundant and prosperous lives, but the devil is not going to just step aside and watch while God outrageously prospers us. The devil’s whole purpose is to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10), and the best way he is able to do this is by causing us to doubt and fear.

One important thing to understand is the fact that doubt always precedes fear. If the enemy can get us to doubt and give in to it, it will then grow into fear. And even though fear can sneak up on us fast, it doesn’t have to paralyze us. It’s then that our courage can get us through.

How do we develop true courage? Ephesians 6:11 says, “Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Truth, righteousness, preparation to share the gospel, faith, salvation, and the Word of God is the armor. Verse 16 says, “Above all, take the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the enemy.”

It’s important to understand the power of faith in God’s Word because fear is such a massive thought force competing for control of our minds. Just know, faith is much stronger. We can cancel out fear with faith because there is no force in this world more powerful than faith, and the most amazing things can happen as a result of it.

Faith is a shield. When the devil’s lies come at us in the form of fear, we must know what God’s Word says concerning our circumstances in order to quench that fear.

Unfortunately, too many Christians are ignorant of the power of faith, so they only operate in fear, which is the exact opposite. We can only operate in fear or faith at any given time. We will flow in one or the other. We must oppose the spirit of fear and close the door on the devil so we may move forward with God’s plan for our lives.

As Faith is our shield (our defense), God’s Word is our Sword (our offense). That means we must not only believe God’s Word, but we must also speak it.

Our words are containers of power. When all hell is coming against us, we need to hold fast to the confession of our faith and say what the Word says in light of our situation instead of what the circumstances look like or how they make us feel.

Not speaking the positive report of God’s Word is the reason why so many believers fall short of receiving God’s best and continue to live in fear. 2 Corinthians 4:13 says, “I believed, and therefore have I spoken.”

By speaking negative words we are operating in fear and are in agreement with the devil. The door then remains open for him to produce the very conditions we are speaking. Instead, speak the promises of God in faith by getting into agreement with Him. That is really how to pray effectively!

Again, the greatest tool the enemy uses against us in life is fear, but we can quench the fiery lies of the enemy by faith and eventually see God’s promises fulfilled in our lives.

The Signs Of Depression You Should Notice

The Signs Of Depression You Should Notice

People who are suffering from depression typicall don’t like to talk about it. If you’re wandering if you or someone else in your family is depressed there are a couple of ways to tell. For one, it’s best to go to a medical doctor because they obviously know the science behind depression. However, in this article I’ve got some great pointers that can help you identify depression. It can be very easy to overlook the symptoms of depression. A lot of people have this idea that in order to be depressed you have to be in bed 15 hours a day and sulk. While that may be a valid and EXTREME case of depression it is not the norm.

There are a lot of symptoms that depressed people can suffer from. Just because they are not exhibiting every single one you shouldn’t dismiss the idea that they have depression. Also, since symptoms of depression actually vary, the time of their “attacks” will vary as well..

One of the Best ways to combat depression is laughter. Surprisingly, this is not “hearsay” but a commonly accepted medical fact. I recommend watching funny videos of people falling and videos about drunk people falling for a good laugh. Videos like these may just be the comedic push you need to break out of your depressed slumber.

Here are some examples of symptoms depressed people may exhibit:

Prolonged apathy. People who are suffering from Depression simply don’t enjoy htemselves and therefore become very apathetic. It’s not uncommon for them to become agoraphobic as well (not leave the house).

Hopelessness. People suffering from depression typically feel that there is no end in sight for their sadness.

Guildt Driven. When someone feels guilty about something tragic they dont believe that they should be happy so it turns into a self-fullfilling prophecy. Rather than being able to take steps to become happy they feel that they dont deserve it so they simply dont try. This in turn leads to a loss of self-worth and respect for ones self. Do you see how this can be a viscous cycle that leads to depression?

No longer takes joy in previously fun activities. If someone has completely quit their previous hobbies it is a good sign they are suffering from depression. If this is done to the extreme it would be wise to call a guidance counselor because people who become completely disfranchised with their previous hobbies can become suicidal.

If you notice anyone exhibiting these symptoms then I recommend that you call a doctor as soon as possible. In some instances it might be overkill to have them checked out by a medical doctor but I would rather be safe than sorry when it comes to depression.

Loneliness : A Source Of Mental And Physical Illness

A recent article in a leading Science Journal announced that not having many friends can contribute to diminished health for many older adults. And those who also feel lonely have even more health risks.

It is clear that loneliness can be hazardous to health, both physical and mental. Feeling lonely may generate stress, anxiety and in severe cases, even depression and suicide. There are even indications that those people who have non-existent social circle are at a significantly higher risk of cardiac disease and heart attacks.

However many are terrified by the idea of making new friends. If they lose their social circle because they move cities or go through a break-up, they are often unable to reach out to new people and develop their social circle.

Why is it hard for some to meet new people? Usually it has to do with being afraid of rejection. They may worry that friendliness can be misinterpreted. They fear that they may feel hurt or rejected when they attempt to meet new people. Some find themselves between two evils: A life of loneliness and the frustration which goes along with it and the fear of finding new friends.

Meeting people is a skill which can be learned. And it gets easier with practice. There are some tricks and techniques which make meeting new people easier and these too can be easily learned from the meet people website. However the way to learn to meet new people is to simply make a goal of meeting one new person every day. Whether it is at a gym or waiting in line at the bank practicing meeting new people should not only help to learn how to meet people, but also will slowly develop your social network.
