Let’s say you are in a room with absolutely no light… it’s pitch dark. How much light would it take to remove the perfect dark?
Any amount of light would immediately change the entire appearance of a dark room. Even one single match would bring about HUGE change to a room. You can’t bring more “darkness” into a room to bring it back to its perfect dark state. Your only option is to remove the distraction of the light.
What does this have to do with confidence?
Well… what if confidence isn’t real?
What if confidence is simply our description for a lack of insecurities? Remove your insecurities, your worries, and your limiting beliefs and all you’re left with is a pure natural state of calm confidence.
There is an Buddhist concept that describes the mind as a mirror. They believed that this mirror reflected everything around us, but over time dust would accumulate on the mirror which would distort what was reflected. This is why many of them thought it important to always be “polishing the mirror” as an attempt to keep their minds free of vexing thoughts or negative beliefs.
I’m even going to go one step further: I’ve come to believe that we’re born innately confident. Not some “level” of confident, just simply confident; free of shame, ego, and fear.
As newborns we’re naturally confident because we haven’t yet learned pain, fear, negative consequences, or had time to become socially domesticated with insecurities. I believe that at our CORE we’re all perfectly confident.
We don’t grow up “developing confidence.” This is nonsense! That’s like saying we grow up “learning to be alive” or “learning to grow hair.” No!
I believe we’re all intrinsically confident, shameless, and perfect.
But if we’re naturally born confident, then why do so many of us suffer from a “lack of confidence?”
My answer? We don’t.
How can we lack something that’s not real?
None of us actually “lack confidence.” This is the fucked up thing. This is a misconception society has led us to believe. We all have the same level of confidence because there are NO LEVELS of it. We are ALL confident.
The problem isn’t with your levels of confidence; your problems are with your levels of insecurities. We all have dust on our mirrors…. and a few foot prints too.
The problem with insecurities is that they tend to have such a loud voice in our physical and emotional bodies that they destroy the perfect darkness and calm of our natural state of confidence. If a perfectly dark room is destroyed by the blaze of one single match then our perfectly calm natural state of confidence can be destroyed by the blaze of one single insecurity.
If you think about your natural state of calm as being perfect confidence then you can imagine how much damage a single insecurity might bring. If we in a nice quiet room enjoying the peace, and one guy comes in the room and starts talking it’s going to be very difficult to not notice him. Even if our eyes are closed and he’s only whispering he’s likely to grab your attention.
Now fill your “peace of mind” room with a hundred voices of insecurities all talking at once, each one fighting for your attention. Imagine how difficult it would be to hear and use your inner calm and peace.
Imagine what it would be like to have dating confidence?!
This leads me to think that it’s a mistake to come to a conclusion that says “I just need to develop my confidence” because then you’re basically agreeing to the idea that you have less confidence than you once did. You’re basically buying into the idea that confidence is something you can have and in certain quantities. This allows you to believe you can lose your confidence, or be without it.
This just isn’t quite real. Confidence isn’t a muscle you can build, it’s not something you’re missing, and it’s not something someone else can give you or take from you. You always have it, it’s always there, and it’s never going away. The real problem is that we’re all full of insecurities that are preventing us from appreciating the power of our intrinsic state of calm and confidence.
I’m telling you that we all already have a pure perfect confidence, but that we’re not connecting with it because we’re being distracted by our monkey minds.
Our job as men is to realize this truth while learning to remove the voices that are destroying our calm. Our goal isn’t to build confidence, because we already have it. Our goal is to remove the negative disempowering voices that distract us, and regain the control of our attention despite these voices.
Remember the old saying “You get more of what you focus on?”
What you think about gains your attention. What gains your attention gains influence over you. It’s time to be aware how you’re allowing yourself to be influenced. Go out and get the girl!
Remember when you bought your first car? I’m hoping it was a Honda Accord. Then for the next month all you noticed on the streets were other Honda Accords? This isn’t because everyone in your town is a slave to your preferences, it’s because your mind was on your new car, and your attention was suddenly attuned to everything Honda Accord.
I just went through this same process because while writing my own book I’ve grown a beard. I happen to hate the idea of wearing a beard, just like I hate mustachios. And so to keep myself on track, by writing more and more each night, I decided not to shave. This helped me to grow the most magnificent beard ever. I had two assumptions: the first was that women would avoid me because my beard was unkempt with nasty white hairs and secondly I thought I’d stand out more because nobody wears beards except the homeless.
Two things have happened. The first thing I’ve noticed is that I can still attract women using the same skills sets as when I didn’t have the beard. I truly didn’t expect this. My first night in the clubs with this ridiculous thing I ended up kissing two different girls (who are best friends.) The second thing was that all I see now are beards, on every other guy. Either this is a huge coincidence, or my attention has been drawn to beards simply because it’s on my mind.
If you focus is upon having more confidence (which isn’t real) then you’re wasting time and energy on an impossible outcome.
Always express BOLD confidence!
Instead I’m proposing these suggestions:
1) Stop resisting your insecurities (this empowers them), but don’t identify with them either (doing so integrates them into your identity.)
2) Insecurities are like dirt on your mirror. If you’re filtering your reality through dirt then all you’re gonna see in life is dirt. Address the insecurity and remove it. This is polishing your mirror.
3) Identify with your intrinsic endless confidence, and appreciate it.
As soon as we stop trying to “build our confidence” or “grow a pair” maybe we can start to notice the calm quiet wisdom of our own minds that is often overshadowed by the dramatic screaming of our insecurities.

I have had to find balance in my life more than once and having worked 30+ years in mortgage lending, the latest was moving back to a small town, after the mortgage meltdown, where there are no jobs, especially in mortgage lending. So you see I understand about adjusting ones life to less and endeavoring to be happy regardless of the causes I had no control over. Life is full of situations that we get anxious and we feel overwhelmed and unproductive. We live in a world of frustration, confusion and pure chaos a lot of the time, but when all is said and done, it is up to us to find our path at making our life a little more at ease and jubilant. We sometimes have to let go of the negative emotions in our life to live freely with more purpose.
We get anxious on the way to work in the morning because the traffic is backed up and we have that 8:30 meeting. We know we can’t make it and we are the first speaker. We then get Angry because don’t know if the big boss will say that maybe we should have left home earlier. We get through that somehow and then we have a message to call the school, we have to leave and hit the traffic again and then come back to work and it is like starting the day all over. Not to mention, our morning schedule included, rising at 5:00 a. m. getting breakfast, preparing lunches and getting the kids off to school. We are actually tired by noon. Our days are full; our apprehensions are many and others expect at lot as well. How do we get where we need to go when our life is
crammed full of activity that can’t change? Question of course is, can it be re-arranged?
When we become stressed with our daily life, it is hard not to simply hard to sit back and relax and let it flow and we begin to wonder if we are succeeding what we need to. Is it all worth it? We start to wonder if the job which is 25 miles further from home actually brings all the benefits it should. Could we actually be happy with a job closer to home that might eliminate some of the stress of having to drive further and be closer to the kids school? We are the only one to answer these kinds of questions and it is up to us to find the answer that best suites us. Sometimes we have to make changes to help reduce the struggle and stress in our life as best we can; but then fear sets in and we are afraid of changes. Afraid that the new job might be worse, more demands, less satisfying and possibly less salary.
All of a sudden, we are anxious, fearful and full of anxiety and it is making us stressed out to say the least. We worry about today but worse about the future and the issues that we have no control over. We begin to be angry mostly with ourselves because we do not understand why we are angry. We are just angry. Why, because we have too much to do and we haven’t found a way to resolve the issues to help us feel safe again and in charge of our lives.
It is said that balance is the key. Finding stability in our life is not the easiest thing to do but it is proven a necessity if we are to get through life without causing us an ulcer or other illness of some kind. Balance also means letting go of things we can’t control, like the traffic, the red lights and washing machine overflowing. It also means tomorrow as we only have today.
Definition of balance: harmony, stability, composure, poise, accord, steady, calculated, self control, parity and correspond to name a few. So it seems if we are to function in a manner and be happy with ourselves and our life; we must find a way to make checks and balances in our life in a constructive way and find balance one way or the other. When we can’t conquer situations then it is necessary to seek professional help if we cannot get our life in a balance to have a healthy and livable life.

We are all familiar with the saying that – ‘What we think about we bring about’. And, at a broad, brush-strokes level, that is certainly true. However, if that was all there was to it, we would all have everything we had ever desired in our life right here, right now, plus a bucket load more besides.
To more accurately understand this statement, I believe that we need to drill down a little deeper and to look at what exactly is meant by the word ‘think’. Basically, we can divide our thoughts into 2 main categories – our conscious thoughts and our subconscious thoughts.
By conscious thoughts, I mean our conscious intentions. Those thoughts which we intentionally create and give our focus to each day, like: “I must remember to phone my mother this evening”.
Research shows that approximately 20% of our thoughts occur at a conscious level each day. The remaining 80% happen at the level of our subconscious.
So, would you be surprised to know that if only about 20% of what you really desire is currently showing up in your life, it may be that you need to spend some more time consciously working on what you are ‘inputting’ every day to affect what is happening to the other 80%?
So, how can you make such a change to your thought patterns? As it isn’t possible to control what is happening at a subconscious level, we need to change our input at a conscious level. To do that, there are some simple steps that we can follow:
- Processes such as positive affirmations, meditation, and keeping a daily performance journal, all feed powerful affirming thoughts into the conscious mind, which in turn will ‘drip feed’ into the subconscious mind.
- Whenever negative emotions rise, we need to put them straight out of our minds. Why? Because emotions are transitory. It takes a combination of emotion and though to generate a permanent feeling at a subconscious level, so by not thing about our negative emotions, then will quickly pass and will leave no mark on us.
- We need to surround ourselves with a community of like-minded individuals and fill our conscious mind with positive thoughts, by reading motivational and inspirational books and quotes. By doing so, you leave no time or space for negativity to creep in to your life.
- The subconscious mind can’t differentiate between ‘real’ and ‘imaginary’. Therefore, in relation to our feelings, our subconscious can no longer tell a ‘real’ past event from an ‘imagined’ one. By consistently bringing more positive energy into our lives, over time, perpetual positivity becomes our ‘reality’.
By following these simple steps, we can use the 20% of our thoughts that we have control over to bring about change to the 80% that just ‘happen’, thus improving the 80% of stuff that is showing up in our lives.

Affirmations for healing Guide:
Affirmations for healing can truly make a huge change in your life. You can move from a sick state of being into almost perfect health in a matter of no time. But to use affirmations for wealth correctly you must understand the process in which they work.
One of the biggest reasons most people fail to use affirmations and stay ill is because they have no faith in themselves. They think affirmations are sort of wishful thinking magic technique. Well, it isn’t, an affirmation is a sentence that is meant to be implanted in your subconscious mind for the purpose of replacing negative thinking patters.
Western medicine is well aware that that the mind does have huge effect on how the person feels and his state of health.
Happy positive people tend to get ill much less that pessimistic stressed out individuals. SO programming your brain to use the power of positive thinking can take your health state into a whole new level.
So how do you start practicing affirmations?
Step 1: First you must create your affirmations. The way I do it is by making a list of the things that I would like to change about myself. If you are focused on health issues write what bothers you about them.
Step 2: write the opposite of every negative sentence you wrote in the present tense. If you wrote “my back hurts all the time” write “My back feels good and limber”
Step 3: sit every day for a period of three months and work on 3 of the most important affirmations for healing you want to work on. Read every sentence to yourself and try to imagine how it would feel if it already had happened. Focus on this for 10 minutes, and then move to the next one.
Step 4: repeat this process daily, really give it all you have. After about 30 days you will start observing changes in your health state.
Step 5: After your practice sessions let the whole process go mentally and continue with your day.
If you have any trouble writing your affirmations I would advise to find a system that can better help you construct the affirmations for healing you want. It is really important that you relate to healing affirmations themselves or you will not enjoy the full effect of their abilities.
It is also important to remember that though you are using a tool to enhance your state of being, it is only a tool. The real power comes from within you; this is only meant to help you focus more on the things that you do want contrary to focusing on what you don’t want.
Affirmations for healing can change your life in more ways than you can even begin to imagine. I would advise you to start enjoying using them today!

==================================
Tools for the Dyslexic: Learning to Navigate Through a Non-Dyslexic World When You View the World Completely Differently
I am hoping you will find my story to be helpful for you. When I got into high school math, I had trouble writing numbers in a format where I would remember which number was in which line making it increasingly difficult for me to find the correct answer to the problem. It affects the way we communicate with others, the way we look at questions, following instructions and the way we think about things. Instead, like so many school aged children suffering from dyslexia, I was pinpointed as a “trouble maker” despite the fact that I was never sent to the Principal’s office, or caused classroom disruptions. In fourth grade our teacher would write notes for us to copy from the board and I would write them in my notebook completely incorrectly. I switched majors to a subject that allowed me to think in the way that I did. As though adulthood is not difficult enough, dyslexia adds a dimension of complexity to the lives of those who suffer with it. P.
Let this be a lesson to you. When you are speaking with another person, do you tend to jumble pronouns when writing letters, papers, e-mails or when you’re speaking with someone? For example, instead of you saying, “John went to the store to buy Jane a dog,” you say, “Jane when to the store to buy John a dog. If you are just realizing this is a problem, there are a few tools I can give you to help you combat this embarrassing issue.
Verb Agreements
When speaking with someone else, you should find that slowing down when you speak and correcting what you say will help you form correct sentences. This can be quite embarrassing in front of an employer or someone you are trying to impress with your knowledge or excellent vocabulary skills. While dyslexics can flip flop pronouns easily, they also can have a tendency to use different verb tenses in a sentence.
Writing
If you find that you tend to verbally switch verbs or pronouns, I suggest putting everything in writing and asking for people to e-mail you instead. I hope you will find e-mail easier for you when communicating with others. This will help you communicate with the world immensely.
Taking Standardized Tests
Standardized tests can be very difficult for dyslexics to take. Ask the instructor or writer of the exam what the correct answer is. The following will be an example of how to do this. Standardized test exams can be not only challenging, but increasingly frustrating and difficult. Look at each of the questions. As discussed previously, analyze where you go wrong in an exam. e. This is important because you are identifying what is important in this question. This way, you will find any mistakes you have made immediately, and will not cost you time when taking the exam. If you can see the instructor prior to taking the exam, (about a week before), ask to see some sample questions.
Instructions
Also, looking at a map before you venture out will also prove to be useful and even more helpful is a GPS unit to read directions to you as you drive. But it doesn’t have to be Before you speak with someone, think about everything you are about to say in your head, put everything in writing so you can double check it. I have conquered much of my problems with school, and my problems in the work place as I understood the dyslexic things I do and came up with ways to combat it. Make sure you have a clear idea of where you are going before you venture out in your vehicle. The bottom line for combating dyslexia simply is getting into the hang of rereading, proofreading, double and triple checking everything you say or do. Come up with a game plan when dealing with standardized testing and always reread the instructions so you know what is being asked for you. What I wasn’t realizing at the time was that I was jumbling the instructions in my mind.

Anxiety is a widespread illness that affects many people. In fact research shows that approximately 18% of the population suffers from anxiety, that’s 1 in every 6 people. Anxiety is a kind of condition which can become worse over time unless you undergo some kind of anxiety therapy. There are a few types of therapy on offer to you, such as medication (both natural and artificial), psychiatry and even self therapy. The aim of self therapy is to apply a specific technique each time you begin to feel panicky. The idea here is to control your anxiety, so over a period of time the negative association you have with whatever brings your anxiety on will dissipate.
Many people prefer to use natural therapies before reverting to artificial medications. Natural therapies for anxiety include St.John’s Wort, Valerian, meditation, yoga and exercise. These tend to have less side effects than prescription medications and for some people can be just as effective. Just make sure that you aware of any side effects of natural therapies also as they can sometimes interact with other medications.
Don’t underestimate the benefits of self anxiety therapies such as meditation and relaxation. Focusing on relaxing and not on your fears and problems can be a good form of anxiety therapy and help you cope with your anxiety. In the same way exercise can help you focus and keep your mind clear. Exercise releases endorphins, a natural mood elevator, which can help you feel better and get past your anxiety.
Depending on how bad your anxiety is you may need to consider prescription medications. You can take medications such as benzodiazepines or SSRI’s either by themselves or together with anxiety therapy sessions. A combination approach is the best method as it allows you work on improving your anxiety rather than just using drugs as a cure all.
Anxiety therapy sessions involve regular sessions with a psychiatrist to help get your anxiety therapy under control. A therapist can help you to understand what triggers your anxiety and develop techniques to minimise feelings of anxiety. It can be very helpful to talk to someone rather than suffer in silence and this makes undertaking regular therapy sessions a very good way to help minimise your anxiety over time. Remember you are never alone.

Self-doubt and fear interfere with our ability to achieve or set goals. Self-doubt and fear are the voices in our head telling us, “You’ll never succeed, so why try?” and “who do you think you are?” Self-doubt and fear are also what make us listen to those voices and decide to give up before we get started.
While many people experience self-doubt and fear at some point in their lives, they take action anyway. Others remain stuck, or are confident in only one area of their life, such as work. They are too afraid to try new things like going back to school, entering new relationships or learning new skills.
When we let self-doubt and fear rule our lives, we miss opportunities. We predict and believe that nothing good will happen to us, so we don’t try anything new, and refuse to take even low-level risks. This leads us to discount people or situations that could help us reach our goals. While self doubt and fear can come in different forms and from different sources, we can learn to break through them.
the vicious cycle of self-doubt and fear
I know what it’s like to live with self-doubt and fear. For years my life was ruled by these feelings. I grew up in a lower income family in the Bronx, New York. I heard over and over again that people like us could never really be successful.
As early as kindergarten my teacher told my mother I was slow and not to expect too much from me. I was put in the slow-learners class. In reality, I was very smart but bored. My next teacher recognized this and moved me from the slow-learners class to the the advanced class. But I still had my voices telling me: “You’ll never make it. You’ll never be popular”. I felt I wasn’t as good as other people because I didn’t have the money and nice clothes that some of the other girls had. I was also shy and not in the popular crowd. I internalized outside messages and became a troublemaker.
My parents viewed my education as a pathway for becoming a teacher, social worker or civil servant. They limited my vision and left me believing that I didn’t have a choice in what I wanted for my future. I couldn’t understand how people became successful at something. But others saw potential in me. I was encouraged to study journalism and was placed in a special writing program. It could have been an incredible opportunity. Instead, I listened to my fears that I’d never make it, so I left the program and pretended that I didn’t care.
Later, I got accepted to the High School of Performing Arts in New York. Acting had always been my dream, despite the fact that people said my “blue collar” Bronx accent would keep me from success. My parents loved me but didn’t know how to give me support. They told me it was good to go to Performing Arts but that being an actor was out of reach for me. Rather than focus on the fact that I had gotten accepted to this wonderful school, I focused on the negative. My perception was that everyone else was wealthier, more experienced and more talented than me. I told myself: “You’re not as good as everyone else. If you try and don’t make it, you’ll look like a fool. But if you don’t try, you can still be cool.” I pretended that I didn’t really want to act. I didn’t try, and I sabotaged myself. I felt like I had no one to talk to about my ambition. Eventually, I gave up trying and left. I told everyone, including myself, that it didn’t matter. But the truth is, I had been afraid to try.
I spent the next two years in another high school, where I used drugs daily and became an addict. I still managed to do well on tests and graduated from high school at age 16. None of that meant anything to me, because by that time I had such low self-esteem, I thought if I could do it, it must be easy. I continued to feel that I was never good enough. My life was defined by what other people thought of me.
I had other opportunities. I was approached on the street by a magazine photographer and became a model at one of the top agencies in the world. I still carried my negative messages and told myself I couldn’t do it. I still felt that I was unattractive and couldn’t conceive of success. I gave up and dropped out. I just didn’t believe in my ability to accomplish anything.
I tried moving to Eugene, Oregon because I blamed my problems on where I lived and the people in my life. In one year I managed to gain over 90 pounds and get addicted to coffee, cigarettes and other substances. I blamed everyone else for my lack of money, healthy relationships and happiness. I lived in constant fear but was afraid to admit it.
My self-destruction finally resulted in a breakdown of my physical health and I had to be hospitalized and undergo major surgery. Doctors told me what I already knew: I had to make a major change. It was time to look at my past and my present and to decide what I wanted for my future. If I didn’t break through negative thoughts I would always stay where I was.
making positive changes
I had to learn to change my attitude about myself. I read about and talked to people who had broken through their self-doubts and taken control of their lives. I got support from others and consciously began turning my destructive self-talk into constructive self-talk. I knew that if I took certain actions, my mind and emotions would follow. I let go of people who negatively influenced my life. I told myself that I was important, and began to plan and achieve my goals. I learned to have faith in my ability. I quit smoking, gave up coffee, and began exercising and eating well. The people I spent time with were also making positive changes in their lives. My life began to improve. I no longer saw myself as a victim. I learned to let go of blame and started taking small risks. I stopped comparing myself to other people and began to open up to new
opportunities.
Today I have a successful speaking and consulting business. I have close friends, and a wonderful son. Learning from my life and others, I’m raising him to believe in himself, understand his feelings, and not be afraid of his fears. I travel throughout the country talking to corporations, associations and other organizations.
If you need help overcoming feelings of self-doubt and fear, please read these ten techniques and processes that have helped me get to this place in my life.

Have you ever sat there trying to make a decision yet, you just couldn’t.
If only I had more information, or a proverbial crystal ball, you think to yourself.
Many times when you are avoiding making a decision, it stems more from being afraid of making the wrong decision.
This has become an epidemic in many places and organization. This fear shuts down communication,
creates more challenges and generally comes with a high price tag.
“But what if my decision cost me or the company?” are words I hear people say.
So they want to analyze everything almost to the death of the original choice.
The fear of being wrong can cripple them into never succeeding. Yet, it is ok to not get it right each time.
It is about learning and growth, just as you did as a child, It is ok.
I have seem organizations and governments hold off on decisions until they have taken the time to hire a committee to research, analyze and bring in data, even on smaller issues. I have also seen committees come back with, that the results were inconclusive. So they shelf the idea and the opportunity has passed them by.
Now I would in no way promote people being reckless and choosing blindly, but there needs to be a time where you stand up and decide and let the chips fall where they may.
Let’s look at how most successful entrepreneurs deal with decisions. They make them. And they make them as quick as possible, often without all of the information in front of them. Through experience, they have learned to trust their instincts and have learned to communicate with themselves on the issues.
How did they get the experience?
Through making decisions and learning from their mistakes. They often state that you need to “fall forward fast”, learn what works and doesn’t work, learn from your mistakes and move forward.
While others are waiting until everything is perfect, they are succeeding with a wealth of experience and understanding behind them.
Many successful corporations just got their product and service out there and fixed things along the way as they received the feedback from clients and customers.
There were others with similar products of a much higher quality, but they never succeeded because they waited for everything to be right, while the decision makers cornered the market.
It is important to remember that decision, create more decision. Once you decide something, it can lead you to make decisions that are more informed. It is the same principle as energy begets energy. Getting started is the hardest motion, but once you get going the momentum increases and most things get easier.

What do motivational thoughts do? They help you take action. This isn’t about positive thinking or motivating quotes. Those have their place in shaping your attitude and thinking. However, what motivates each of us is unique, so you need to have your own thoughts – those which are most effective at getting you going.
“In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity” – Albert Einstein
This is a decent quote, and it may help you look at the positive side of a situation, but what if it just doesn’t get you excited? Then you need to apply a little brainpower to make the idea your own. You have to make it a truly motivational thought for YOU.
Motivational Thoughts Of Your Own
“Making it your own” means experimenting with a good thought until you find a way to use it in your own recipe for motivation. Suppose, for example, you’re in a difficult situation and don’t feel like dealing with it. As you sit there, you play around with the idea of opportunity coming from difficulty. Fortunately, you discover that it pulls you out of your slump to think about yourself in the future, explaining to a friend how you turned the difficult situation to your advantage.
This is how you create your own motivational thoughts. Now, it might be more motivating if you imagine yourself being interviewed someday about how you overcame this difficult time. The thoughts that work for you are the thoughts you need to be thinking.
Learn Your Motivations
Experiment and get to know how your mind works. I find that beyond just thinking a thought, if I explain it to someone, I get excited. That is my own self-motivation recipe. When I feel unmotivated about writing, for example, all I explain an idea I have for some article to my wife. By the time I am done, I’m very motivated to work.
You can get creative in your motivational experiments. Maybe thinking about being poor makes you get up and get to work. If so, that is a great motivational thought. If visual thoughts are more motivating than mental conversations, then use those. See pictures in your head that get you going. Perhaps when people say you can’t do something, you do whatever it takes to prove them wrong. Then it might be motivational to think about them saying you can’t.
When there is a truly uninspiring task you have to do, try promising yourself a reward for completion – make it one that really means something to you. Keep that thought in your mind to keep yourself motivated. A trip to the beach and even a simple bowl of ice cream may be some of your more powerful motivational thoughts.
